Summer sendoff

Join the Waikato team at the Mangakino Recreation Reserve, located on the right of Lake Road and down to the edge of Lake Maraetai in Mangakino. Public toilets are available. All types of camping allowed including tents, byo drinking water. This camping area is close to Lake Maraetai's launching ramp and jetty, and within walking distance of Mangakino village. Dogs are permitted on leads . Playground and boat ramp / jetty. Swimming area with a floating  pontoon with slide offshore. Situated next to the  Mangakino to Whakamaru bike river trail section. Cafe and shop within walking distance
