Mid Winter camping fun. An hour and a half north of Wellington on the Horowhenua is the peaceful settlement of Waitarere Beach. Another weekend adventure awaits.

About the event
Hydrabad Holiday Park is a great place to bring the family for a relaxing holiday. We have a great play area with:
- A swimming pool
- 3 trampolines
- Swings
- Slide
- A camp hall
Turn off SH 1, between Levin and Foxton. The Hydrabad Holiday Park is a quiet family park at the popular Waitarere Beach.
Beaches:
Five minutes' walk from a lovely, safe swimming beach that stretches north to the Manawatu River and south to the Hokio River. Our beach also boasts good fishing, both off the beach and offshore, with boat-launching a breeze.
Matariki Forest:
The nearby Matariki Forest is a great place to take a leisurely walk. Every year it hosts Great Forest Events, the only forest marathon in New Zealand.
Other Attractions:
The domain at the rear of the camp has tennis courts and is just a short walk to the Ocean Blue takeaway shop and restaurant, a dairy, café and a very welcoming and friendly bowling club.
